· The data being displayed on the HTML pages was stored in the VSAM vision plus files, they were customizing the base Visionplus application with the web front end. The web enabled version of the software was called Oscar.

Travelers US are into the business of Insurance in personal and commercial lines. They have an Internet based application called ATLAS, which is used by them for claim processing, rating and issuing policies. This system has a web front end written in ASP and cool: gen backend servers.

- I was involved in analyzing the requirements for a new system called the IPM which was a new format for MasterCard and writing the code for that system and integrating it with the existing system this was in a certain format called the MLI or the message link format where the main Cobol program would start a CICS transaction (server) which would branch onto different programs based on the the conditions and process data using VSAM files or from the DB2 database.
- I was also involved in production support and maintaining the flow of data between BDMS (Billing dispute management system) and the other sub-systems.

- The Cargo Shipment Partnership (CSP) is a partnership of EVA air and Speedwing to develop next generation of Cargo systems to support the Cargo business into the 21st Century.
- It builds a supply chain driven integrated cargo solution in a 3-tier C/S environment with Oracle database, Tuxedo transaction processing system and user-friendly windows.
- This project was done using Component based development. The project has about 200 entities.
- I was involved in the development and maintenance of 20 windows and 30 servers that included batch and online procedures. I was involved in developing the Electronic Data Interface for the Operations and Track and trace components so that EDI messages could be passed between different parties (i.e. the flight and the ground staff).
- Developed windows, clients, servers and transaction control service code.
- Performed unit and integration testing. I was also responsible for design and development of various batch and online procedures and maintenance of existing code.
- We’ve used report composer for generating reports in this project.

The software is to automate the attendance system in an organization. It supports the following

1. Attendance capturing.
2. Monitoring the movements of employees in and out of office.
3. Providing the data needed by the pay roll and leave accounting system.
- The screens were developed using the HTML FORM tag. Using this tag a simple screen containing text box text area, list and choice radio buttons were developed. Name of the servelets that will process this form is also specified. The servelets is invoked when submit is pressed.
- In the servelets the value of the GUI components placed in the form are accessed using get Parameter (name) method of request object.
- The servelets can process the values using the facilities available in java and can access database-using JDBC. This now sends the output to the client. The HTML, which will produce the required output, is created as a string and sent to the client using the println method of response object. In the HTML program JavaScript is used for client side input validation.

- This project involved migration of all the existing BAUR IEF 5.2 models from Host Encyclopedia to the Cool: Gen 4.1a C/S encyclopedia, which resided on the HP UNIX Box.
- This project was also involved in cross generating the VS COBOL II from the IEF code on the C/S Encyclopedia, as Installation Packages. Installing the cross generated IPs to the MVS environment (on CICS as the TP and DB2 3.0 as the database), using the MVS Implementation Toolset for Cool: Gen on the IBM mainframe.

- With the merger of BAUR Versand GmbH and OTTO Burlington, there was a need for selling Otto Burlington products by Baur Versand. To support this functionality, Baur developed in IEF 5.2.
- This system coexisted with other systems and used the existing database of Otto Burlington (which s sits on the IBM mainframe).
- This also generated the periodic reports using Batch Process.
- Worked with the project manager on the design of the specifications for the screens and also helped in the coding.

- Developed and maintained the code for the Y2k toolset.
- I also wrote some utilities for monitoring the execution of the parser. This involved developing tools for checking the consistency of the Parser generated output. The work also involved loading and monitoring the data in the Oracle database by writing SQL queries.
- The data was further uploaded into the DB/2 database on the Mainframes for further analysis.
